Honest, approachable advice
Karen originally hails from Farnham, Surrey. With family ties to Scotland and happy holiday memories of Dumfries & Galloway, she moved to the area to complete her secondary education and went on to study Law at Edinburgh University.
Karen brings a wealth of experience to the business, with practice areas to date in agricultural law, conveyancing, Wills, Powers of Attorney and executries.
Law and agriculture can both be perceived as male dominated, and Karen feels challenged to change that perception. She believes honesty, trust and a good relationship with her clients are paramount, and aims to make the process as user friendly as possible, giving clients the guidance they need to make the best decisions within the context of their own lives.

Rural living, first hand
Karen has a young family and runs a farming business in partnership with her husband. She was involved in the successful transition of the family farm from tenant farm to owner occupied. She loves rural living and the benefits it brings to family life, but strongly believes that living rurally should not be at the expense of access to quality legal services.
Between work, farm and family, Karen is involved in the school PTA and has been treasurer of her son's nursery. When any free time is available she enjoys cooking and baking for family and friends, walking her dog around the family farm and indulging her creative side in home crafts and painting.
